KEY TO REST

The key to rest in life is rest in the Word of God. Rest of mind proceeds from rest in the Word. So, to access absolute rest in life, rest absolutely on the Word of God.

God’s Word is tested and proven, those who rest upon it cannot be shaken. Men are troubled because they haven’t found the Word to rest upon. Rest upon the Word to find rest in the world.

“…And the people rested upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.” 2 Chr 32:8.

REFUSE TO BE DISTRACTED

Winston Churchill said, “You will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks.”

How true this statement is! On your path to destiny, there will be many things calling for your attention. Some may be necessary, while others are just distractions to get you off track. As youths, it is normal to be filled with activities because you have the strength to do them; however, you need to be focused if you must be successful at any of those activities.

When you are not focused, you are walking in the dark and might stumble. Imagine yourself as an athlete, headed for the first prize. If you stop to reply every comment you hear, you realise that the race would be long over before you arrive the finish line. Distractions are usually noisy and the aim is to get your attention so you could be replaced. You therefore must be careful.

God has set a race before each of us. To finish effectively, we must keep our focus on Jesus. Sin, trouble and lack are not the only distractions out there. Success could also be one. At various stages in life, God will give us the capacity to achieve feats people will marvel at. This will attract praise and commendation. And at such times we will be tempted to take our eyes off God and bask in the adulation of men. We must resist this.

Everyone has a glorious destiny and the provisions to make you actualise it, are already available in Christ. You must be sure of your success and focus on it, the number of people around you not withstanding. You should know that the devil is not happy with your success that is why he has placed those distractions there, but you must be smarter than him. Turn yourself off from the noise around you and keep aiming at the mark.

The good news is, whatever your own distractions are, you can overcome them. Perhaps you have fallen in the past or feel discouraged; put yourself together, shake off the dust, add a little more effort and you will be there before you know it. Your glory days are just around the corner, and all you need is focus. You will not miss it in the name of Jesus Christ!

Remain Blessed!

I Rep CHRIST

Jesus Christ Lived a life of sacrifice to show us how to love, He is our mirror, friends lets REFLECT Christ TODAY and show LOVE
I am the light of the world. The salt of the earth.
I was placed in this dark world to show it that light overshadows all darkness.
To prove that the Son of Righteousness shines so bright, light fears even His light.

---TODAY'S CONFESSION---

I see with my eyes of faith and take possession in the realm of the spirit! In Christ Jesus, I have overcome the world and its systems! I’m making progress with giant strides. Satan and the cohorts of darkness, including all the nativities in the world are subdued before me, and I reign triumphantly over them in Christ. Halleluiah.

ARRANGE YOUR LIFE

Life doesn’t arrange itself, individuals have to arrange it by Himself. Hebrews 3:1-4. “Every house (destiny) is builded by some man(body)…Plan your life, plan your future. Plan early in life if you do not want to suffer later in life. You will not be surprised or disappointed tomorrow if you understand that whatever happens to you tomorrow commenced from today.

REFLECTING GOD’S GLORY

Dearly beloved,

The Lord Jesus said, “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).

How should we glorify the Father?

Moses was an ordinary man like us. But when he glorified the Lord by waiting in His presence on Mount Sinai for forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water, he received a divine experience. As he came down from Mount Sinai after forty days, the people were afraid to go near him since the skin of his face shone for he had been in the presence of God (Exodus 34:29,30).

Similarly, when Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. Hence the priests could not enter it. When all the Israelites saw the fire coming down and the glory of the Lord above the temple, they knelt down with their faces to the ground and worshipped and praised the Lord, saying, "He is good; His love endures forever."

Once, when a man of God was praying in his room, he suddenly heard someone knocking at his door. When he went and opened the door, he saw a man standing there. On seeing this man of God, he asked, “How is that your face is so bright? Did you apply powder on your face?” The man of God replied, “No, I don’t have the habit of using face powder. I was glorifying God the Father by sitting in His presence when you were knocking at my door and that is the reason for this brightness.”

Yes, when we kneel down in the presence of God and glorify Him, there is no doubt that our face will shine bright because of His glory.

The Bible says, “…If we walk in the light, as He (God) is in the light, we have fellowship with one another” (1 John 1:7). Live your life in union with God the Light and completely depend on His grace. Then your life will become fruitful and you will reflect His glorious light.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

I wait in Your presence and worship You. Please fill me with the glory of Your presence. Help me to reflect Your glory in my life by living a life always praising You and doing good works with humility. Let Your name be glorified through my life.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen
